Protein-Packed Sweet Potato + Turkey Chili

Ingredients (Serves 4–6):

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey (or chicken)

  • 1 large sweet potato, diced

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained & rinsed

  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes

  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp chili powder + 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp ground cumin; pinch of salt & pepper

  • Optional: lime wedges, Greek yogurt, chopped cilantro for topping

How to Make It:

  1. Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil until soft.

  2. Add turkey and brown.

  3. Stir in sweet potato, spices, tomatoes, beans, and broth.

  4. Simmer for 20–25 minutes until flavors meld and sweet potato is tender.

  5. Serve hot, topped with sliced avocado or a spoonful of greek yogurt if you like.
